This medieval village is perched above the Principality of Monaco, between Nice and Menton and is famous for its monumental Alpine Trophy built 2000 years ago (-6, -7 BC) in honour of Octavian Augustus. This Roman Emperor, adopted son of Caesar, had brought back under the domination of Rome 45 Celto-Ligurian tribes of the Alps who refused to submit to Rome.
The village, perched 500 m above the sea, has a territory where nature is more than generous and offers a multitude of hikes.
