Nice

The town is situated at the end of the Baie des Anges, sheltered from the wind by an amphitheatre of hills, in a narrow mountain basin supported by the Mercantour massif.

Economic capital of the French Riviera by its tourist activities through its hotel capacity, its business, trade and exhibition centres.

Nice is famous for its carnival and its flower battles which always attracts many tourists from all over the world, for its musical events, one of the most famous of which is the jazz festival and all year round theatres, concerts, operas, galas, exhibitions...

The Promenade des Anglais is, for the whole world, the symbol of the city. Nice has a large number of places. Many of them are located in the old town, such as the Place Saint François, the Place Garibaldi or the Cours Saleya. The Place du Palais de Justice and the Place de la Préfecture, created in the 19th century, are also located in the old town. Most of the other squares in the city were designed in the 19th century and are located on the edge or outside the Old Town. This is the case of Place Charles-Albert and Place Masséna or Place de la Croix de Marbre. The Place Arson, between the rue Caïs de Pierlas and the rue Arson, has been since the end of the 19th century a privileged place for the game of Boules.

Nice is a city of commerce, tourism and administration. It has France's 3rd largest airport and a university.
